I have owned the 1971 Ericson 41, Sunshine, since 1974, and have grown to lover her more in every year that passes. She is strong and sea-kindly, with exceptionally pleasing lines that draw comment wherever she moors. The long overhangs provide reserve buoyancy that cause the vessel to lift to seas and keep the cockpit and crew dry in all but the most severe conditions.
Sunshine recently went through a major refit that added Shaeffer in-boom furling, control lines led to the cockpit new high efficiency refrigeration, a compact diesel generator, inverter, rate-gyro driven auto-pilot, advanced electronics, and an all wood interior. She will be our cruising home away from home for many more years.
