    Baltic 39
Baltic and their version of the "very best sailboats"
Baltic Yachts has reached the level of building boats almost as true art, as their native talents of this east-bothnian, finnish region build the very finest sailboats in the world.
Therefore a Baltic is a niche product, and ought to be understood that way so as many as possible are able to make intelliget compariosons with other boat-brands.
But there are thousand of sailors who don`t want or need anything like a Baltic. We are happy for their sakes.
But for the others who are looking for something else, maybe of higher quality or performance, then for those people we really ought to explain why it is that they can look at a boat the same size as a Baltic, same engine, same winches, same number of berthst, and so on. And for the life of them they are unable to tell why that boat costs only half as much as a Baltic does...
And of course they are right!
Now, I think it is the skilled and enthusiastic Baltic-owner`s duty to explain to those who are interested just how a Baltic is put together. And you can`t blame people for not knowing or not seeing right away.
Invite yourself onboard, and start from one end and go through all the details. By the time you get to the other end, you will have a good list of why the boat is good.
    Tedious, you say?
    No way!
A boat is a complicated system put together by thousands of fine details that is about to match - and give the owner value for money for a lifetime!
Therefore, before you start your comparison boat by boat, make sure you have enough knowledge to make this in an intelligent way.
Then you will be convinced, `cause good design and construction complies perfectly with beauty and the distinct feeling of "best-build".
Enjoy your inspection, and place a comment.
    Happy sailing,
    Niclas, Bosund
